The study investigated the relationship between individual and situational factors in workplace safety, contributing to the debate on performance and outcomes in organizational contexts. A meta-analytic approach was used to examine data from various industries and methodologies, highlighting the influence of psychological and environmental variables on the occurrence of accidents and occupational injuries.

Keywords: Occupational safety, Safety performance, Safety climate, Accidents, Psychosocial risks.
Methodology: The study analyzed a set of primary research studies, applying meta-analytic techniques to estimate the relationships between safety knowledge, motivation, organizational climate, and safety performance. Factors were considered at both the individual and group levels to better understand the underlying mechanisms of accident prevention.
Main Findings: The findings demonstrated that knowledge and motivation for safety are the primary predictors of safe workplace behaviors. Furthermore, a positive safety climate within the organization was strongly associated with a reduction in accidents and injuries. The meta-analytic path modeling reinforced a theoretical model linking personal and situational factors to occupational safety outcomes.
Practical Implications: The results highlight the importance of promoting a favorable organizational safety climate and investing in training programs that enhance workers' knowledge and motivation. It is recommended that organizations adopt comprehensive strategies to mitigate risks and improve working conditions, contributing to a safe and productive environment.
